 Nocturnal Party

July 20-24

It's a night party in the day!  Let's explore the creatures that are active at night.  Explore night vision through an owl's eyes and discover their unique feature that helps them hear.  Then get ready to be a "lab rat" and dissect real owl pellets and test your skills in identifying the bones of their last meal.  Explore bat skills and see with your ears in an echolocation activity to find a hidden surprise.  Have fun with water paint and create your very own fingerprint bat silhouette.  Then observe real bat specimens and identify their different features.  Explore what makes a porcupine a tough creature observing real quills and create your own "golf tee porcupine".  Wrap up exploring the life of a firefly and create your very own "firefly lantern".
