Rocks that go to work?  Let’s explore their unusual uses everyday.  Identify igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks and test your skills in finding hidden fossils within.  Explore the healing properties of several stones – a tradition of ancient times and still used today.  Then partner-up and compare rocks, minerals, and crystals in their properties and ability to conduct sound.  Learn about “sound science” and how it protects marine mammals.  Wrap up the workshop with a chance to grow your very own crystal that is your to keep.
